The role
In this position you will directly support the Sr. Innovation Manager as well as work with colleagues in different Business Units that are focusing on interventions to improve living wage and working conditions for workers. You are helping to document learnings and create tools and solutions to help unlock cross-sector challenges related to this impact area. As an Innovation Manager, you work on content and operational tasks around the topic of better jobs, and you support your colleagues implementing this agenda.

In sum, your role includes:
Support the development of Tools & Solutions on Better Jobs:
- Support documentation of learning
- Support building of tools to disseminate knowledge and learnings
- Maintain overview of tools, database
- Innovate new tools and solutions, analysis and insights
Support the development of IDH thought-leadership on Better Jobs
- Support Sr. Innovation Manager on learning activities and learning sessions and publications
- Support Sr. Innovation Manager on developing and showcasing publications and knowledge products
Support the team with coordination and alignment of other BUs on Better Jobs.
Who you are
You are a great team player with a good systems level understanding of supply chains, human rights and global labor rights topics as well as how these topics are addressed in by private sector. Therefore, experience with working with labor rights organizations, workers or unions is a highly beneficial. Experience in collaborating with people from different cultural backgrounds and levels of seniority is necessary. You are a strong data-driven and conceptual thinker who can see large projects through from beginning to end. You have the ability to excel in a fast-changing environment and are a pro-active, result-oriented and self-organized person.
What you bring
- 5-7 years of relevant experience with global Human rights (living wage, social dialogue, working conditions);
- Working and thinking at Master’s degree level; Social Sciences, International Business, International Law, Human Rights)Relevant knowledge of global frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct;
- Experience in tackling social issues across supply chains from the private sector perspective.
- Experience in leading and conducting research and managing consultants
- Experience in knowledge management and capacity building
- Proven track record in collaboration in cross organizational self-steering teams
- Strong communication capabilities at multiple levels (corporate, academic, public sector)
- Strong written and visual communication skills;
- Affinity to work with data; using evidence and data for decision making.
- Fluent in English and preferably a second world language.
We offer you
- A gross monthly salary ranging from EUR 4,088 to 5,110 (excluding 8% holiday allowance), based on a 40-hour work week. Our salary will be determined by your level of experience, ensuring you are rewarded for your skills and expertise. The range is expected to be adjusted based on the country in which you will be relocated (taking into account the IDH legal in that specific location ie. UK/ Belgium)
- A fulltime (40 hours) 1 year contract initially, with the intention to extend (as this is a permanent position).
