Legal Assistant

The role

The IDH Legal team consists of 4 legal counsels and a general counsel and advises the organization on a variety of legal topics. In the role as Legal Assistant, you will be supporting the IDH Legal team with:

  • Creating and managing overviews of relevant legal data
  • Preparing of supporting corporate documents (resolutions, filings at the chamber of commerce)
  • Minute taking of Farmfit Fund Investment Committee
  • Keeping track of deadlines for mandatory statutory filings for our country offices
  • Assisting with file transfers and handle legal documentation by arranging signatures via DocuSign or in person (including notarization when required)
  • Providing all aspects of general administrative matters
  • Assisting with the compilation, preparation, and review of (standardized) legal documentation and templates, such as powers of attorney or standard agreements.
  • Preparation and assistance information packages and presentations for the IDH Farmfit Fund.

You are an organized team player that is eager to work for an international organization. You execute projects accurately, are result-oriented, flexible and can multitask effectively and essentially thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment. Most importantly you want to work for an organization that strives to make an impact.

You have a background in Dutch law and learn fast. You execute projects accurately, are flexible and have the skills and attitude necessary to provide proper support to the legal team and the organization.

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Dutch law
  • Preferably experience in the legal practice (for example through an internship)
  • Strong communicator, fluent in Dutch and English (both written and verbal)
  • Proactive attitude and a can-do mentality, enthusiastic, team player
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritizing tasks based on workload
