We are excited to be searching for a proactive and pragmatic Program Assistant with an interest in Value chain sustainability to join our team, and we hope it’s you!

Your role.

As Program Assistant, you will coordinate IDH engagements with and support to Village Saving and Loan Associations (VSLAs), other Community Legal Entities (CLDMCs, CFMBs, etc.) and PPI Compact Coalitions in the two most remote districts in Sinoe, working closely with the Program Manager (Small Business development) and Landscape Program Officer based in Greenville, Sinoe County – Southeast Liberia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate VSLA Support Agents in Jaedepo and Wedcarba Districts in their data collection and reporting activities.
  • Monitoring and keeping track of VSLA Support Agents engagement with VSLAs and their data collection activities.
  • Support the planning, including notification and distribution of invitation letters, and facilitation of convening activities in Jaedepo and Wedcarba Districts.
  • Monitor and report on PPI Compact implementation activities in the two districts.
  • Coordinate engagement with Community Legal Entities and other stakeholders in the two districts; and
  • Prepare summary reports documenting activities each month.

What you bring.

Preferably, applicant should be a High School graduate and have some prior work experience in the county, particularly working on or supporting other community development projects.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Prior experience working in the county, preferably in the target districts.
  • Has experience working with farmers and producer groups on livelihood projects.
  • Have a good understanding of VSLA principles and practices.
