IDH is proud to announce that Andre Dellevoet former Group CEO for the Agricultural Business Initiative in Uganda is IDH its senior Africa strategist. With his extensive experience in various African countries, working with partners such as AGRA, BMGF and SNV and numerous bilateral and multilateral agencies he is a great asset to IDH.
Andre Dellevoet holds a Masters in Law from Maastricht University (the Netherlands) and a Masters Degree in Political Science from Leiden University (the Netherlands). Andre Dellevoet is an expert in private sector development, development finance, corporate social responsibility and good governance, having worked under different private sector development programs with over 600 companies across Africa.
He began his career in the Dutch diplomatic service in 1991, working mostly on African affairs and was the chief adviser on economic growth and private sector development in Africa for the Directorate General for International Cooperation at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DGIS).
He worked in various African countries, amongst them; Zambia, Namibia, Uganda, Kenya and the DRC. He has worked with international private partners such as AGRA, BMGF and SNV as well as a large number of bilateral and multilateral development partners. His last function was as Group CEO for the Agricultural Business Initiative in Uganda.
Mr. Dellevoet has served as a Member of the Board of Pugwash, The Netherlands, on the North-South Advisory Committee to the Members of Parliament of the Dutch Labour Party, on the Board of the Dutch National Commission for Sustainable Development and on the Board of The Netherlands-Africa Business Council. He is an alumni of the Said Business School of Oxford University.
