Progress to date in South West Mau Forest 2017

Our landscape program in Kenya, ISLA Kenya, is active in the South West Mau Forest. Since 2014, we have put together a multi-stakeholder coalition made up of tea, energy, timber and other companies; local governments, national government agencies as well as community representative bodies and research institutions. Together we strive for protecting the Mau Forest, providing sustainable livelihood options for the community around the forest, and ensuring that tea and other industries operating in the area can continue to rely on the forest to sustain their businesses.

This report, carried our in late, 2016, highlights some of our collective successes to date.
