Almost since the start of IDH Daan de Wit has been responsible for communication: ‘In the early days I did everything from developing a strategic 5 year communication plan to carrying boxes with flyers around. I now head a global team of seven in HQ and a network of 5 overseas communication staff. Still I like to carry boxes.' Before joining IDH, Daan's experiences span from training journalists in East Timor to presenting night radio shows on Dutch national radio. He started his career at the Anti Apartheid movement, worked for almost 10 years at Amnesty International and 3 years at Doctors without Borders and as head of communication at Solidaridad.
