Iris van der Velden appointed as IDH Director of Learning and Innovation

IDH is excited to announce that Iris will take on a new role, as of January 2018. After nearly 4 years at IDH leading the work on smallholder development, she will step into an overarching leadership role in the Learning and Innovation team.

Her work on smallholders has specialized on topics such as innovation for access to finance for smallholders, and making services for smallholders more sustainable and effective. This portfolio has promoted learning across-commodities and geographies, including the coffee, cocoa, spices, tea, palm oil and cotton sectors.

Before joining IDH, Iris was the Asian portfolio manager of Rabobank Foundation, for 8 years, managing a team out of the Netherlands, India and Indonesia.
