Assessment of the livelihoods of small-scale cotton farmers and the potential for diversified income opportunities in Chad

The study conducted an assessment of alternative income sources and food security levels among cotton-producing households in Southern Chad. This involved analyzing both on-farm and off-farm income-generating activities. The assessment of food security encompassed the four key dimensions of availability, accessibility, utilization, and resilience. Additionally, the study evaluated the internal capacity of village associations to deliver inputs and services, identifying areas where further support may be needed to strengthen these organizations.
