EU Deforestation Regulation: Key Opportunities and Risks

The Amsterdam Declarations Partnership (ADP) Stakeholder Meeting took place on 10 May  in London (UK). The dialogue aims to tackle implementation challenges for deforestation-free and legal commodity production. Commodities include cattle (beef and leather), cocoa, coffee, palm oil, natural rubber, soya, and wood (timber, paper, pulp).

IDH’s Global Director (Landscapes), Matthew Spencer, participated in the session on landscape governance and discussed the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) effect on commodity production markets and how landscapes approaches can help mitigate the risks caused by this regulation.
