The IDH landscape program uses an innovative, integrated approach to mitigate deforestation, while improving smallholder and community livelihoods and ensuring supply security for businesses. Through a three-pronged approach – production, protection and inclusion (PPI approach) – our work supports four key stakeholder groups: companies wishing to source sustainably; governments aiming to enable sustainable growth; smallholder farmers who need to diversify their income, secure land rights, and strengthen their position in supply chains; and finally, impact investors and the mainstream finance sector who need bankable projects that deliver impact on SDGs.
