Open-Sourcing Research Assets to Transform Smallholder Agriculture

At IDH we have fully open-sourced our learning framework, along with our methodologies for primary farmer data collection and our indicator templates.

These research assets are available on Zenodo, a widely recognised digital repository used by scholars across various disciplines. This move aims to enhance transparency within smallholder agriculture, sparking meaningful and impactful development cooperation.

By embracing this open-source model, IDH is pioneering a significant shift in sector-wide practices for designing agribusiness and smallholder-focused programs.

This initiative by the IDH Intelligence Team extends beyond simple knowledge sharing. It also represents an invitation for collaborative dialogue and joint efforts across various development organizations.

Alongside this, IDH Intelligence manages the FarmFit Insights Hub, an online resource for sharing data and insights to drive more and better investments into smallholder markets.
