McCormick & Company is a major purchaser of black pepper from Vietnam, the world’s largest black pepper producing country. To achieve its 2025 Purpose-Led Performance Goal to sustainably source 100% of its branded black pepper by 2025, McCormick works with local suppliers through this Service Delivery Model (SDM) to accelerate the uptake of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) by Vietnamese Black Pepper farmers through the implementation of the Sustainable Agricultural Standard of the Rainforest Alliance. In this SDM study, three suppliers are compared to see how each can optimise their SDMs.
