Productivity and worker well-being improvements are showing in the first of a group of factories to have graduated in the IDH apparel program in Vietnam: the Race to the Top. Results from an independent impact assessment include positive effects both on factory knowledge to produce more effectively, as well as on worker satisfaction, looking specifically at absenteeism and turnover. The program creates a win-win: improving working conditions and profitability.
